Choosing the Right Family Picture Outfit
How do you select family picture outfits for your portrait session or choose what to wear for a night out at the movies? Isn’t that always the dilemma of the day: what to wear? You stand in front of your closet, stare at the clothes in front of you and mentally piece together an outfit. Coordinating other family members only complicates the matter. Perhaps you just need a fresh perspective on your wardrobe. When you have staple pieces, it’s easy to add one or two new accessories for a completely updated, modern appearance. Using accent pieces such as a single color to each family member’s outfit can coordinate you without being matchie matchie. Here is an example of how the mom’s outfit is the main color scheme with blue, white, and pink. The other family members have one of those main colors in their outfit. Start with one main item, either pants or a cute top, and build on it. You can find trendy pieces at Old Navy or GAP similar to these pieces. After you pick your main outfit color scheme, accessorize it with shoes, jean jacket, vest, or belt. Top it off with chunky jewelry and a headband. Your outfits are ready for your family pictures.
